PRIMARY FUNCTION: To safely and effectively operate, maintain, and repair equipment associated with the on-site Textiles Operation through timely and efficient preventive maintenance and repair.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds immediately to equipment issues during production hours to quickly return the equipment to normal operating conditions.
Inspect, maintain, repair, install, and replace laundering and textiles finishing equipment and their associated feedback and software control systems.
Maintain and repair pump systems, low and medium pressure steam systems associated with the wash systems, and pneumatic actuated equipment and their associated sensors and software control.
Maintain and repair electro mechanical conveyance systems and their associated sensors and software control.
Maintain and repair hydraulic equipment and components and their associated sensors and software control.
Maintain and repair electric motor driven equipment and associated electric control components
Coordination of preventive maintenance and repairs with supervisor and operations management to efficiently complete tasks
Maintain adequate spare parts inventory based on historical factors and manufacturer's recommendations and notify supervisor of any discrepancies
Identify parts or additional equipment needed to successfully complete tasks
Identify potential equipment issues and develop repair or replacement strategies
Perform and record tasks per established preventive maintenance procedures or manufacturer specs on all equipment
Maintain positive attitudes and work relationships with co-workers, managers, vendors, and contractors.
Participate in scheduled inservice, training programs, shop meeting, and other activities required gaining information and instruction on equipment operation and other topics.
Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Complete mandatory education requirements
Perform other related duties as required.
SCHEDULE: (BOTH) Day and Evening shift (**rotating schedule**)
Day shift - Able to work (4) 10 hour shifts for the first 4 - 6 months and every other weekends
Evening shift - Able to work 2p-10:30pm Monday -Friday for 3 months- No weekends
On-call responsibilities ** every 4th weekend from 4a-12:30pm
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School or Vo-Tech graduate
4 years of progressive experience with electro-mechanical equipment and their operation, maintenance, and repair.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Potential to work in wet areas. Work routinely requires prolonged standing, considerable walking, lifting and carrying of items up to 75 pounds in weight, stooping, crawling, and working off ladders, working overhead and occasionally at heights of up to 20 feet , use of powered man lifts and other industrial powered equipment, and laying under equipment for repairs.
