Summary: Perform all duties of washing linen at an efficient rate to ensure clean linen is available when needed. Maintain the quality and quantity level(s) ensuring that linen service production flow will match or exceed demands.
Ensure the correct data is input into the laundry equipment correctly to enable a smooth process flow of linen goods through the automated system.
Detailed responsibilities: * People At The Heart Of All We Do - Fosters an inclusive and engaged environment through teamwork and collaboration. - Ensures patients and families have the best possible experiences across the continuum of care. - Communicates appropriately with patients, families, team members, and our community in a manner that treasures all people as uniquely created. * Safety And Performance Improvement - Behaves in a mindful manner focused on self, patient, visitor, and team safety. - Demonstrates accountability and commitment to quality work. - Participates actively in process improvement and adoption of standard work. * Stewardship - Demonstrates responsible use of LRH's resources including people, finances, equipment and facilities. - Knows and adheres to organizational and department policies and procedures. * Standard Work Duties: Laundry Equipment Operator - Separate, weigh and wash soiled textiles to the assigned loads and weights ensuring the washing flow runs at an effective rate. - Load washing equipment in a safe and efficient manner while maintain a productive work flow. - Monitor wash equipment to ensure proper operation - Operate all required equipment, demonstrating understanding of how to use efficiently and safely - Change chemical containers using all protective equipment. - Demonstrate appropriate use of protective equipment while handling soiled linen and chemicals. - Consistently practice good infection control hand washing and hygiene - Unload dry textiles from drying equipment safely and efficiently ensuring the linen is ready for the distribution area when needed to maintain a productive work flow. - Operate the small folder, sort linen, hand fold and stack textile items when needed to minimize downtime.
