To provide professional interior design services for Christiana Care projects executed by Design & Construction Department. To provide professional interior design consultation to members of Christiana Care management. To provide exclusive interior design services and consultation to the Medical Center on a full-time, in-house basis.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with Design & Construction Project Managers and external designers on all Design & Construction projects for interior selections. (Finishes, furniture, layouts and specifications, window treatments, flooring selections, proposals and order placing)
Support all aspects of interior design consultations to department heads, physicians, management and staff
Specify, review and approve final furniture layouts and proposals for departmental self-funded projects
Maintain working relationships with four approved furniture dealers, multiple furniture, fabric and flooring representatives
Manage and evaluate yearly grading of all Christiana Care nursing units, patient rooms and toilets at Christiana and Wilmington sites
Maintain art storage, review and purchase appropriate art for projects
Advise Aesthetic Improvement Committee on public space improvements for design selections and pricing
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree in Design.
Five (5) years related experience, Healthcare preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
