The position is the Laundry Worker located in the Textile Care Section of Environmental Management (EMS) at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS). Duties include but not limited to: Cross-trained in all techniques and procedures used within the TCPF in the event of staffing shortages or unforeseen workload and works under strict time frames and deadlines due to patient workload. Selects the correct linen to be dried to ensure linen flow on the production floor is continuous. Responsible for correct operations of the dryers, small washer, pneumatic lift system, garment finisher and timely delivery of finished textiles when required. Display sound judgement in monitoring the work flow for textile processing tasks through communication with the linen clerk, laundry work leaders
