Plant your roots at Just Pots! We are currently hiring a Business Development Wholesale Manager to identify, pursue, close, and manage new wholesale business opportunities. The primary industries targeted will include, but are not limited to, Nursery, Landscaping, Outdoor Retail, Interior Design, Exterior Design, and Horticulture.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Sell planting pots of all sizes across Texas and potentially throughout the US.

• Direct and execute planning, prioritizing, and delegation skills to maximize the overall sales and profitability of the location.

• Review market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

• Meet with key clients, maintain relationships, and negotiate and close deals.

• Prepare sales reports reflecting sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

• Promote Just Pots'  products and services to prospective and existing clients through a variety of outreach opportunities including telephone contacts, office and site visits, in-store events, and tradeshows.

• Conduct continuous follow-up on outstanding quotes, while pursuing new business.

• Draw on industry trends and professional networks to identify opportunities and creative ideas to drive business.

• Develop and execute strategic business plans/sales and maintain relationships. Know where every potential Just Pots wholesale customer is located in Texas and surrounding states. Build a relationship with each.

• Maintain/track business pipeline.

• Assist customers in finding and selecting pottery, carrying and loading pottery into customer vehicles, and completing the check-out process through the point of sale system.

• Implement, manage and reinforce quality customer service to include: prompt greetings, professionalism, selling standards and exercising of appropriate discretion and judgment on behalf of the business as well as the customer.

• Maintain a high degree of understanding of the business, customer base and competition.

• Extensive travel will be required.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

• Occasionally work in the yard selling and moving pottery.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years related sales experience.

• Experience in outdoor retail, design, landscaping, or related field

• Prior customer service experience is mandatory

• Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers

• A proven track record of driving meaningful sales growth

• Must have a basic understanding of the business to business cycle

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel

• Strong business acumen and broad-based operational perspective as demonstrated through varied operating work experiences in Customer Service, Operations, and Marketing, etc.
